The end of the year makes everyone a little nostalgic. As 2016 winds down and the New Year approaches, Corporate Screening would like to take a moment to reflect on what has happened throughout the year. 

2016 was another year of growth for Corporate Screening. We continued to improve our technology, add products and services, and we also welcomed new partner organizations and staff.


And now we would like to share with you a few of our favorite things from 2016.

Today’s technology changes faster than ever, and it’s easy to be left behind. That’s why Corporate Screening regularly evaluates and upgrades our technology and processes. CS has been at the forefront of developing proprietary background screening technology, and we will continue to deliver the unique applications that we are known for.


Throughout the year, our team has been working on a significant technology overhaul for our internal processes, an exciting process that will significantly increase our efficiency. We are also updating and enhancing the CS EASE platform, improving user experience. These major undertakings will roll out in 2017, with additional technological enhancements to follow.
Business continuity planning helps to ensure that business processes can continue during times of emergency or disaster. Corporate Screening’s Business Continuity team meets regularly to review and update our plan, making sure that we will be here for you in emergency situations (such as power outages) or during other types of interruptions.
As you have come to expect from us, CS monitors our systems each day, all day long. We have early detection and notification processes in place, which often lead to resolving potential problems long before they become big enough to become problematic. We also have processes in place to restore and maintain data, equipment, applications and technical resources. Our customers can rest assured that their information will remain safe and secure with us.
In July, Corporate Screening received word from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS®) Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) that we had successfully completed reaccreditation.


Less than 10 percent of background screening companies are accredited, and the accreditation process is rigorous. Companies are required to document policies and procedures, as well as undergo desk and on-site audits. It is a time-consuming process, but one that we believe helps provide our clients with the assurance that they can rely on the results they receive from Corporate Screening.

In 2016, there was a significant growth in the number of clients using integrations to order background screening. Corporate Screening’s experienced integrations team provided guidance as many new and existing clients integrated our background screening solutions with ATS/HRIS including Oracle Taleo, iCIMS, Workday, Technomedia, Healthcare Source and more.


Making ordering easier also matters. Using CS's Invite Order option, customers can have their candidates complete the necessary information for the background order. They simply enter the candidate’s name and email address, choose what background package they want, and an email is sent straight to the candidate, asking them to complete the required information. It’s an easy solution for many of our clients!
Partnering with a new company is a big decision that can have economic consequences and liability. How much do you really know about your company’s business relationships?


That’s why there’s CSBusinessScreen. The new CSBusinessScreen is a customizable online business relationship background check system that allows businesses to easily order and manage background checks on potential business partners, acquisition targets and vendors, as well as manage their KYC compliance program.
In 2016, Corporate Screening and ACEMAPP, a leading online clinical rotation matching and management system teamed up to integrate the VerifyStudents suite of student background products within the ACEMAPP dashboard. The integration provides users with a single access platform to access and manage data. CS is actively developing integrations with other clinical placement and management systems, which will begin rolling out in early 2017.
Through our educational series, CS has been able to reach out to a wide audience, sharing our expertise on background screening and important topics within the industry.
In 2016, using webinars and seminars, our expert professionals educated people on subjects that included background screening issues, compliance, and important background screening topics for healthcare professionals. They facilitated small group discussions, and also educated consumers on the types of background products and services that are available. And as always, our professionals were able to provide education and training on new products and services.
Attending conferences and tradeshows is one of the ways that we are able to connect with our clients, as well as meet new people. And we appreciate it when you take the time to stop by our booth to say hello and tell us how we are doing. In 2016, we attended a variety of conferences around the country, adding two new shows – the Association of Healthcare Human Resources Administrators (AHHRA) of Greater New York HR Conference, and the Ohio HR Conference.
2016 was also a year of recognition for Corporate Screening. Our service and support is one of the reasons why we are regarded so highly in our industry.


Once again, we were recognized as a Hot List background screening provider by Workforce Magazine. 2016 marks the seventh consecutive year that CS has been included on this list.


We were also recognized as an honoree at The 2016 Customer Service Awards, presented by Smart Business. This award honors companies that have demonstrated superior customer service. It also serves to raise awareness of the importance of customer service in the business world.


Additionally, Corporate Screening President Greg Dubecky was a recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Marketing and Sales Award (DMSA). The DMSA acknowledges excellence and provides community recognition for outstanding sales and marketing achievements.

Giving back and helping others in our community is important to all of us at Corporate Screening – you can say doing so is part of our culture. Throughout the year, Corporate Screening employees support a number of different organizations, and give back by donating their time, money and other contributions.

In 2016, our organization and employees:

  • Supported the Foundation Fighting Blindness as a sponsor of the Cleveland VisionWalk;

  • Donated food to the SCAN Hunger Center Pantry that serves the Cleveland, Ohio metro area;

  • Supported the Cleveland Clinic’s Velosano bike ride, which raises money for cancer research; and

Collected items for the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH), building 54 hygiene kits and collecting 17 blankets that will be delivered to homeless persons in the Cleveland area during the cold winter months.


Corporate Screening would like to thank our corporate “friends and family,” which includes our partners, alliances and business relationships. The collaboration between Corporate Screening and our partner organizations have resulted in numerous successful products and services that benefit our clients.


We are fortunate to have such great business partners who are very professional, dedicated, and efficient in what they do. By working together, we each become stronger and are able to offer innovate solutions.
CS is proud to work with fine organizations and educational institutions located nationwide, including some of the nation’s businesses, healthcare organizations and schools. Our client base is diverse and each requires a background screening program tailored to meet its needs. Our goal is to achieve the role of friend and trusted advisor to all of our clients.


We cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate each and every one of you. Our clients are our colleagues and partners. We thank you for putting your trust in us every day.

And finally, at the core of Corporate Screening are our employees. Successful companies are that way because of the dedicated people who work there, and our team personifies that. Their knowledge, experience and courteousness is outstanding.


The year was one of growth. Our Public Records department expanded its office space, and we were excited to be able to welcome many new team members onboard. Our sales team grew as we welcomed Christina Wade, Rob Stewart and Kevin Watson.


We also had fun. We celebrated our sports teams’ wins, held decorating and costume contests, and worked together to help others in our community.


Above all, we want to thank each of our team members for all of the hard work you put throughout the year and for being part of our corporate family.
